Here's a review by one of ExclusivePurchases.com co-founders, Maxine Collin:
"Why Would Anyone Want to Make Coffee in a Stainless Steel French Press??

I was going to start out this review with a different title: "To French Press or Not French Press", but I realized that there are a few of us who have never had the pleasure of drinking a brand, spanking new cup of coffee from a French Press. So it is my job to make sure that you become aware of the awesomeness of the French Press method! Now I know that there are those of you who have invested in a k-cup system to get the most fresh cup of joe possible at home or in the office, but for a cup with an equal quality without the cost of the apparatus and the ongoing per cup premium of k-cups, you can opt for a French Press...

So, how did I come to this understanding? Well, years ago I actually had a conventional, glass, plastic handle, metal-here-and-there French Press affair which suited my Nordic-ancestry, coffee-drinking husband at the time. But given the press of the morning rush with 3 young girls, I dropped it; it broke; and we went the dreaded electric drip coffee direction. It was convenient enough though the coffee tasted awful after a bit of time, and we went through several glass carafes...not a preferred solution, but we kept at it. Fast forward some 30 years or so to my relationship with coffee brewing and my second husband...

Having also resorted for several years to an electric drip coffee pot with the same pitfalls, the plastic scented brew, and worse clean-ups from overflows than I care to remember, I determined to find an affordable, non-plastic alternative which could deliver something more than the cups of java we had made ourselves accustomed to. Internet research proved its chops again! I found a well-priced (circa $40) stainless steel, 1 liter French Press with double mesh filters to keep out those wayward grounds and I ordered it immediately...and it did not disappoint!

The brewing process is simple, the pot is shiny and elegantly designed with super functionality such as a comfortable handle, an efficient pour-spout, and a cover which rotates to facilitate pouring and which can rotate another few degrees to close off the contents and help keep the brew as warm as can be--the double wall facilitates heat retention, too. Oh, and to that point, after the first pour, I have found it helpful to place the pot in a tempered container, add boiling water to the container about half-way up, and to continue to have a lovely temperatured second cup, as well. (Smiles for the aroma and the taste all around, here!)

The entire unit cleans like a breeze in the dishwasher; cleaning it by hand with a bit of dish-soap and a non-scratching cleanser such as Bon Ami will garner equal or better results when subjected to the sniff test for telltale signs of previous (now rancid) coffee oils. In fact, the pot can be cleaned to such perfection, that I also use it to brew loose tea with spectacular results, and our coffee drinkers are none the wiser!! (And neither are the tea drinkers!)

I offer my vote for the SterlingPro pot I ordered; it has surpassed all expectations, including an extra double filter unit. And now, making coffee in the morning has become one of my husband's go-to rituals. Morning-time is a bit traumatic for him and coffee is the antidote...in fact, he so appreciates the ease of making his own coffee, including the clean-up, that he actually begins to smile in anticipation of his personal "coffee rush!"

Take a look below at some of your options for including a stainless steel French Press as part of your indispensable morning-time ritual!!"

I'd say this is a very positive recommendation! Thnaks Maxine
